Ahead of the MNFCC challenge, the team met up and took part in the Lincolnshire Sportive on Saturday 7th May, a distance of over 100 miles.

Marine Owen and James Griffiths rode 62 miles, finishing very high up the field.

Ab Woolass and Toni Purvis rode 102 miles around Lincolnshire.

Out of 262 riders, Ab finished a in a brilliant 4th overall whilst managing issues with his bike most of the race, beating last year’s position of 7th. Toni finished and incredible 2nd place overall, the fastest woman of the day by a huge margin.

The following day, Ab competed in a team Everest Attempt at Watlington Hill, Oxfordshire, supporting Maggies Centre Oxford, Maggie’s is a charity providing free cancer support and information in centres across the UK and online. Ab was team leader for the Spire & Spoke Team. Climbing just under 6000 feet, and 16 hill repetitions, Ab completed the challenge with his team.
